I purchased Amazon's viral £26 dress and it did not disappoint

Last month I discovered the hashtag #AmazonNightgown on Instagram where I uncovered hundreds of women of all ages, from all over the world, wearing the same boho chic dress in a variation of summer-ready designs.
I did a little research, and found that the £25.99 stylish Amazon bargain had been uncovered by American fashion influencer, Grace Atwood.
Consequently, the ‘Amazon Nightgown’ had quickly taken over social media and city streets in the US, but in the UK, it was still rather unknown, and nowhere near its viral reputation in America.
So, being a shopping editor, I set out to see if it was available in the UK, partly from a professional standpoint, and partly because, well, by this point I really wanted the dress.
Luckily, I discovered the R.Vivimos Women's Casual Bohemian Print Midi Dress on Amazon’s UK site, and was excited to find that it was available in a whopping 21 different prints.
I quickly did what any sensible shopping editor would do: I purchased the dress in the pattern of my choice before setting my article about the popular number live - and, turns out, I was right to do so.
Overnight numerous designs sold out (including the pink design I had purchased) and within a few weeks the dress sold-out in the majority of styles and sizes. Luckily though, the frock has just been re-stocked in a wide array of styles and sizes.
At only £26, and being from an unknown brand on Amazon, my expectations for the dress were low. Especially as the design I chose was predominantly white with pink detail, so I truly was expecting a see-through nightmare.
Luckily, the dress totally exceeded my expectations.
It arrived the next day (thank you Amazon Prime), I threw it on, and was instantly impressed with the blouson sleeves, tassel detail and bold pattern.
The dress was also delightfully lightweight and breathable as the June heatwave hit.
Made out of 75% cotton, 25% polyester, it is now easily the coolest item in my wardrobe, and therefore, my go-to on a hot summer day.
As had been suggested in the reviews, many customers recommend sizing up in the dress, especially if you have a bigger bust. I did just that, and although I feel like I could of purchased it true to size, with its smock-like dress silhouette it never hurts to size up for added comfort.
Even my mum messaged me asking for the link and consequently bombarded my phone with screenshots of options as she couldn’t decide on what print to chose.
This is a regular issue for those who purchase the dress, many customers happy with their bargain purchase have in fact gone back to buy multiple designs.

While another added: “Immediately ordered another. Please get more stock in ASAP of other colours /sizes. I’ll definitely buy again! Couldn’t recommend enough.”
Now that numerous styles and sizes have been re-stocked I’m definitely tempted to join the loyal Amazon Nightgown fan club and order another....I just need to check first that I don’t end up buying the same pattern as my mum.
