Amazon Fire Stick users warned they could face shock £1,000 bill
Amazon Fire Stick users have been warned not to make a simple yet expensive error when watching new content on Netflix. Failing to follow this rule could result in a hefty bill.
The streaming platform has been given the rights to air WWE wrestling matches. It started on Monday, January 6, with WWE Raw.
However, the important thing to note is that these matches are live. So, it has stressed that people must understand what watching live content means in the UK.

Any form of live broadcasting requires a TV Licence by law - and failing to have one could result in a £1,000 fine, reports Birmingham Live. TV Licensing previously reiterated the rules ahead of Netflix's Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight.
A spokesperson said: "A TV Licence is needed to watch live content on streaming services, watch or record a TV programme on any channel and when using BBC iPlayer," a rep said at the time. Further information is available on the TV Licensing website or via the customer services team, who can help with any queries."
At the time of writing, a TV Licence currently costs £169.50 a year. But if you are recording a live broadcast to watch later, you also need a TV Licence. Watching on-demand content does not require a TV Licence except if you're watching BBC iPlayer, TV Licensing confirmed.
According to the BBC, Netflix has reportedly paid more than $5bn (£4bn) for rights to show Raw and other WWE programming. This includes archive content.
Next week’s episode of Raw (January 13) takes place in San Jose, California and will feature Dakota Kai vs Lyra Valkyria to crown the first WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion. Fans can also expect to watch Sheamus vs Ludwig Kaiser, Damian Priest vs Finn Bálor in a street fight, and Chad Gable vs a mystery opponent.
There are plenty of upcoming live events in the WWE calendar that Netflix will broadcast to the UK throughout the year. These include Royal Rumble in February, the Elimination Chamber on March 1, WrestleMania in April, and SummerSlam in August.
