Amanda Seyfried in Jason Wu, Rachel Zegler in Roberto Cavalli and More Stars Embrace Seasonal Hues at CNN Heroes Tribute

Stars including Brooke Shields, Amanda Seyfried and Rachel Zegler attended the CNN Heroes awards ceremony on Sunday evening in New York. The network’s annual special, launched in 2007, honors those making a difference in their community.

As winter approaches, darker shades including black, maroon and forest green stole the show, with A-list guests continuing to favor sparkling embellishments — a trend seen on the runways of Valentino, Fendi and Armani Privé this season.

Brooke Shields

Shields wore a double-breasted blazer coat over a sequined strapless gown. The model and actress completed her look with diamond jewelry and a metallic box clutch. Hairstylist Tim Nolan added waves to Shields’ brunette mane. Meanwhile, makeup artist Eric Polito painted on a red lip and rosy blush.

Amanda Seyfried

Seyfried stunned in a Jason Wu ensemble consisting of a green sequined off-the-shoulder top and a black slit-front maxiskirt. The actress also wore a pair of black platform heels and tiny hoop earrings. Seyfried’s blond hair was styled in a sleek middle part, with her makeup featuring a muted pink lip and matching blush.

Rachel Zegler

Zegler, star of “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” sparkled in a leopard print halter gown by Roberto Cavalli. The actress accessorized her maroon frock with Repossi rings, high-heeled Jimmy Choo sandals and a black Judith Leiber clutch. Hairdresser David von Cannon styled Zegler’s dark tresses in an updo, while makeup artist Kale Teter gave her bronze eye shadow and a nude lip. Zegler was dressed by stylist Sarah Slutsky Tooley.

Edie Falco

Edie Falco opted for a lavender chiffon midi dress featuring a floral pattern. The actress’ Ralph Lauren frock came adorned with ruffles and a thin belt. Falco also added a pair of brown pumps.

Iman Vellani

Iman Vellani of “The Marvels” sported a black Patou blazer with gold hardware, as well as a matching pleated miniskirt. The actress added on a feathered clutch covered in gold sequins, metallic platforms and sheer stockings. Stacks of rings and a dainty necklace completed her look.

Josie Totah

Josie Totah wore a forest green Adeam blazer dress with silver buttons over a pair of pleated trousers.
