Amanda Holden has taken a swipe at a former colleague whose frequent habit "really annoyed" her. Returning to her Heart FM gig alongside Jamie Theakston today, the presenter lamented the frequent use of a particular word rubbing her up the wrong way and also shared what made her and her husband Chris Hughes clash.

Chatting about irrational rows in relationships, a listener messaged in that her other half's misuse of 'literally' and 'genuinely' gave her "the ick", which prompted Amanda to share her story. She revealed: "At my previous management company, the CEO woman used to constantly say 'genuinely' and I used to look at her and go you are so full of... because anyone who says 'genuinely', it's just rubbish and is not telling the truth in any way. It just really annoys me."

Amanda went on to share details about the light-hearted disagreements she regularly has with her hubby. The Britain's Got Talent judge divulged: "Mine's over fashion with my husband because he loves wearing his crocs.

"He loves wearing an animated or heavy metal T-shirt that he doesn't really know anything about and he'll choose to wear them out, it's all about dressing with him," reports the Express.

Chiming in, Jamie said his other half Sophie hates it when he rests his head on their bed's headboard, leaving him muddled over why it's such a big deal.

Totally understanding Sophie's concern, Amanda pointed out that if he has product in his hair then that could make certain materials dirty.

Still puzzled by the dispute however, he replied: "It's called a headboard for a reason."

Later in the show, Amanda empathised with a listener frustrated by her husband leaving hair in the sink. She confessed: "Actually, my husband trims his beard and he leaves all the stubble, and he does it in my sink.

"We're lucky that we have two sinks in the bathroom and he does it in my sink to trim."

Jamie went on to suggest that perhaps her side of the room has better lighting, which led Amanda to say: "That's what he says about mine! I'm like, 'Wash it down the sink if you're going to do it Christopher'."

The presenter tied the knot with Chris in 2008 and together they share two daughters; Lexi, 18, and Hollie, 12. When speaking about what keeps her marriage strong, she highlighted the importance of laughter and still fancying one another.

She told OK! Magazine: "The main secret behind a successful marriage is to have a b****y good sense of humour!

"Plus, I really fancy Chris. We'll be eating dinner in a restaurant, he'll go to the loo, then I'll look up and catch a glimpse of a man and think he's fit! Then I'll realise, 'Gosh, that's my husband!'

"I still fancy him. Also, Chris challenges me and I challenge him that's another secret to a good marriage."
