Aman’s New Bangkok Hotel and Residence Tower Will Open This Year

The City of Angels is about get a little more luxurious. No, not the one in California, but rather the one in Southeast Asia.

Luxury hospitality brand Aman has unveiled a closer look into its forthcoming hotel and residence tower in Thailand’s capital city, Bangkok (which shares L.A.’s famous nickname). Dubbed Aman Nai Lert Bangkok, the 36-story property—which will be home to 52 hotel suites and 50 discrete condos—is not exactly new. Reports about the project first surfaced back in 2019. Four years later, the brand has confirmed that the tower will finally open in 2024, though an exact date has yet to be announced.

Belgian architect Jean-Michel Gathy balanced Aman’s modern aesthetics with traditional Thai influences for the hotel’s upscale design to connect with the local heritage. Renderings of the space show scenic poolside views, open-air lounge areas, and stylish room designs. You can also expect to find an Omakase restaurant, Teppanyaki restaurant and Jazz bar, as well as the company’s signature Italian dining concept Arva on site.

For those seeking more permanence, the building will also offer about 50 branded residences spread out over 18 floors, according to the company’s website. Depending on your desire for space, you’ll be able to lock in one-bedroom apartments that span up to 1,367 square feet and four-bedroom penthouses with 23,680 square feet. As a resident, you’ll have access to the hotel’s facilities, which include personal catering, baby-sitting, and concierge service. The site also houses resident-only amenities like a private dining room and lounge serviced by private chefs, a garden lounge with a library and business center, plus a private infinity swimming pool on the 30th floor. Each residence comes with a dedicated private chef and housekeeper, as well as a maintenance and security team.

Nai Lert Park is located on Bangkok’s popular Wireless Road where diverse shopping and culinary experiences are found. It was created by Thailand’s first developer Nai Lert, who founded his company in 1894. Now overseen by his great-granddaughter, Naphaporn Bodiratnangkura, the verdant site was acquired by Lert to preserve its natural beauty.

“Aman Nai Lert will be our third global city destination and our 25th hotel in Asia,” says Vlad Doronin, CEO and owner of Aman Group in talks with Signature Luxury Travel & Style. “It has been an excellent experience to work in collaboration with the Nai Lert family who are the owners and custodians of Nai Lert Park and have an unrivalled legacy in Bangkok.”

Aman Nai Lert Bangkok is not the brand’s only new property on the horizon. Other openings include Aman’s first L.A. property, as well as new outposts in Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and Japan. Check out the company’s website for more details.
