Amal Clooney matches the red carpet in stunning lace jumpsuit at History Talks event
Taking a break from starring in Hollywood blockbusters and fighting for human rights on the global stage, Amal and George Clooney scrubbed up well for an event in New York on Saturday night.
Amal, 44, looked incredibly glamorous on the red carpet, for which she opted for a chic lace jumpsuit in the same scarlet shade.
The human rights lawyer chose the sleeveless all-in-one from Elie Saab’s Resort 2023 collection, which featured a cinched-in waist and wide, flared leg, all in a distinctive floral lace fabric.
A pair of gold, pointed-toe high heels completed the look.
Amal’s long dark hair was styled in her signature bouncy waves, and her make-up was kept fairly natural, save for a red tinted lip to coordinate with her flattering jumpsuit.
George Clooney, 61, joined his wife of eight years in a dapper grey suit. He teamed the two piece with a black shirt with its collar left open.
The couple will celebrate their eighth wedding anniversary on 27 September, and share twins, Alexander and Ella, who were born in 2017.

History Talks is a “limited series of premium live events” according to its website. The special series invites audiences across the country to hear directly from global leaders, trailblazers and industry names in an event that “explores our nation's past to understand our present and illuminate our future.”
Both Amal and George spoke at the event held at Manhattan’s Carnegie Hall, where they were joined by George’s longtime friend and co-star, Julia Roberts, as well as President George Bush and Nobel Laureate Malala Yousefzai.
The couple were seen at an Amtrak station in New York on Friday, where Amal opted for the ideal autumn outfit. She wore a sleeveless cream knitted midi dress and knee-high boots to walk through the station, whilst George played it low-key in jeans and a polo shirt.
