Amal Clooney Glows in Yellow Dress Inspired by ’90s Versace at ‘The Boys in the Boat’ Premiere in Los Angeles
Amal Clooney arrived on the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of “The Boys in the Boat,” directed by her husband, George Clooney, wearing a ’90s-inspired custom floor-length bright yellow gown from Atelier Versace.
She paired the gown with Cartier jewelry, including yellow and white diamond earrings, a Panthère de Cartier bracelet and two diamond rings. The dress was inspired by a look from Versace’s spring 1993 collection.

“The Boys in the Boat” takes place during the Great Depression in America and tells the story of the University of Washington rowing team and how they competed at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin. The film will be released in theaters on Dec. 17.
For the movie premiere, George Clooney kept it classic in a black suit and dark blue shirt, accessorizing his suit with an Omega watch. In September 2022, George Clooney became the face of Omega’s Speedmaster ’57 campaign alongside South Korean actor Hyun Bin.
Versace has become one of Amal Clooney’s go-to brands. At the British Fashion Awards earlier this month, she wore a customer Atelier Versace dress crafted in a net-like construction of crystals, featuring a degradé of paillettes. The one-shoulder strap design formed into an exaggerated V shape across the open back.
