AMA Arenacross Championship Kicks Off in Reno

The offseason wouldn’t be the same without the bar-to-bar racing intensity that the Kicker AMA Arenacross Championship brings. This Friday and Saturday is the opening round of the series in Reno, Nevada.

Last season, the racing series brought fantastic racing to light, and this season, with the lineup of riders and contenders going after the title, is on track to be the best one yet.

Phoenix Racing Honda's 5x national champion, North Carolina’s Kyle Peters, returns to chase after a record-setting sixth title. That said, there is more competition for Peters to deal with this 2024-2025 season.

Idaho’s Ryan Breece, the 2023-2024 runner-up, returns after his first year competing in AMA Arenacross last season. The title fight between him and KP (Kyle Peters) was incredibly close, going down to the season's final race. Breece is now a part of the MotoConcepts (MCR) Racing Honda team from his effort in the World Supercross Championship (WSX), and he is hoping to dethrone Peters this season on the Honda machine.

Other contenders will be Team Solitaire Heartbeat Hot Sauce Yamaha’s Robbie Wageman, who is back, along with Gizmo Mods Rock River Yamaha’s Austin Politelli, Brandon Ray, and many others.

The Clash for Cash is back for another year, where riders from heat races will go head-to-head for a pile of cash ahead of the Main Events. If you want to talk about “bar-banging action,” this is the race to watch.
