Alison Hammond missing from This Morning as she's replaced by co-star
Alison Hammond was notably absent from Friday's (February 7) instalment of This Morning. The TV presenter usually hosts the final episode of the ITV show each week alongside co-star Dermot O'Leary.
However, she was unexpectedly replaced by Rochelle Humes, who occasionally steps in for presenters on This Morning. Rochelle and Dermot fronted Friday's show together, but did not address Alison's absence.
Dermot was thrilled to be joined by Rochelle on the ITV show, as he excitedly told TV viewers: "Welcome to your Friday's This Morning! Joined by the one and only Rochelle this morning!

"Oh thank you, so nice to be back! So good to be back," Rochelle gushed, as Dermot suddenly bowed down to her.
Rochelle and Dermot went on to reveal what was coming on Friday's show, including a run through of the day's headlines and an interview with best-selling author Marian Keyes.
Alison had not announced she'd be absent from her usual This Morning slot, with the show also not sharing the news beforehand.
However, Alison's absence comes after she celebrated her milestone 50th birthday on February 5, with the team at This Morning pulling out all of the stops to ensure she had the most memorable day.
Despite it being her day off, Alison welcomed the cameras and Jeff Brazier into her lovely Birmingham home for her birthday surprise on Wednesday. Jeff arrived with a bouquet of flowers as This Morning's hosts, Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, wished Alison well via video link.
Jeff then revealed that the cast of Magic Mike were lined up and ready to perform in Alison's back garden, much to the TV star's surprise.
To top it off, This Morning arranged heartfelt video tributes from her celeb pals including Ant and Dec, and The Traitors' Minah, while Dermot shared a deeply affectionate message, noting how it's been one of the 'great pleasures of his life' to know and work with Alison.
This Morning airs on weekdays on ITV1 from 10am.
