Aldi is the master of selling the kind of products and gadgets we didn't know we needed. And the German retailer has done it again, with this Stylepro 4 Litre Skincare and Beauty Fridge.
We know that everyone is super conscious of the cost of living crisis, but this mini fridge will ultimately save you money.
And if, like us, your normal refrigerator is packed full of a week's worth of food shopping with barely a nook left for anything else let alone your collection of skincare, this will come in really handy, not to mention be more hygenic.
You might think "but surely I don't need to refrigerate my beauty products?" We hear you - we thought the same.
According to the experts at Beauty Bay, though, doing this can actually can extend the lifespan or increase the efficacy of many of your products.
If you're a fan of natural skincare, for example, those products don't have preservatives, so keeping them in the fridge is a must to ward off bacteria growth.
Any depuffing products or tools you own will also work way better if they're kept chilled, thus increasing their efficacy and giving you better value for money.
Anything with active ingredients - for example, Vitamin C, benzoyl peroxide, and retinol - can be weakened or ruined by being exposed to heat or light as they're unstable ingredients. So popping these products in the fridge will protect them from breaking down.
Let's not forget that the weather is still warm, so any facial toners or spritzes you have will feel amazing to use on your face when they're chilled.
The rule of thumb, according to Beauty Bay, is "if it’s gel-textured and/or water-based then a product will benefit from refrigeration."
