Adidas’ retro collection blends old-school looks with new-school performance
Running gear has come a long way over the last 40 years – fabrics are lighter and more breathable than ever before, with advances in sweat-wicking tech and seamless constructions offering peak performance without distractions. But there’s something undeniably cool about the bold, throwback aesthetic of 80s running gear – from the punchy colour-blocking to the oversized silhouettes.
Well, now you can have the best of both worlds, because Adidas is bringing retro flair to modern day performance with its latest Adizero collection.
Consisting of technical tees, crops, running shorts and jackets, the drop is inspired by key archival design elements from Adidas’ race kit in the 80s, while maintaining the technical performance elements of the Adizero range. That includes the brand’s CLIMACOOL technology, which wicks and disperses sweat for a cool, dry and distraction-free run.
All of the apparel is available in either a white/blue/red or blue/neon green/white colourway.
