Adele sure does know how to tease us. Speculation around new music by the iconic pop singer has been circling for some time.

After gifting us with 19, 21 and 25 – all packed with shower-worthy belters – posters and projections bearing the number 30 mysterious popped up around the world.

The number was shone onto various landmarks including Westminster, the Empire State building, Brooklyn Bridge, the Louvre and Rome’s Colosseum. Suuuuper casual.

Now, after a long (long, very long) six years, the singer has finally revealed that a full song will be out next week.

Posting a 21-second black-and-white clip on Instagram, Adele can be seen placing a cassette into a car radio, checking herself in the rearview mirror and enjoying a piano instrumental while riding along.

The end of the video and its caption both say the same thing: “Easy On Me – October 15”, a confirmation of the song title and release date.

Despite not featuring a single word sung by Adele, everybody (including us), completely lost it. The post currently had over 12.5 million likes and over 124,300 comments.

Alongside lots of “YESSS QUEEN” and “I’M CRYING RN” comments (hey, I was excited, OK?), there was another big talking point: her incredible winged eyeliner.

Adele has always been known for wearing sharp winged liner and, even though this teaser video is short, we still get a glimpse of it in all its glory.

“That winged eyeliner!” wrote one user.

While another added: “get the frickin winged eyeliner applied and smokey eye… the big hair and false nails on. Then we ride”.

Her makeup was done by celebrity makeup artist Anthony H. Nguyen, who also posted the teaser on his own Instagram page.

His post was also inundated with praise for his eyeliner skills, with comments like: “It's that winged liner for me”.

I mean, just look at it:

Perfection.

Just recently, Adele gave us another major makeup moment when she nailed that TikTok blusher trick, and now this? It looks like her new album is going to come with some incredible beauty looks, too.

And if you’re going to attempt copying Adele’s winged eyeliner, may I point you in the direction of our favourite waterproof eyeliners – because we know we’ll all be sobbing when that first song drops.
