Actress Hayden Panettiere's childhood New York home on market for nearly $4 million

The New York childhood home of actress Hayden Panettiere, who was in the “Heroes” TV series, the “Scream” horror movie franchise and the series “Nashville,” is listed for sale at nearly $4 million in the affluent Snedens Landing area of Rockland County.

The 129 Washington Spring Road house, built in 1988, was renovated by the current owners after they bought it in 2021, a news release about the listing said. Panettiere lived in the home from about 1998 to 2013. For her role as Juliette Barnes in the series "Nashville," which ran from 2012 to 2018, she received two Golden Globe nominations for best supporting actress — series, miniseries or television film.

Richard Ellis, of Ellis Sotheby’s International Realty Nyack, has the listing. Ellis said in the release that the current owners "spared no expense in the extensive improvements to the 3,500-square-foot turnkey home, which can be purchased completely furnished for a fee."

The four-bedroom, four-bathroom home has a mansard roof, covered porch, crank-out casement windows with arched tops, and barrel-shaped dormers. It has a two-car garage and ivy growing on stucco walls, according to the release.

It's nicknamed the French Ivy House.

Interior renovations include quarter-sawn oak floors and large slab Italian marble floors, kitchen and butler pantry with cabinetry and marble counter tops. The kitchen has Sub-Zero appliances, according to the release. The dining room has hand-painted murals on silver-leaf paper, as well as silk wallpaper. There are two gas fireplaces and marble bathrooms.

In addition to its timeless elegance characteristic of a European chateau, the home is in the exclusive neighborhood of Snedens Landing, which is well known for its rustic seclusion, connection to the arts and proximity to New York City."
