The Accessories Cool Girls Are Adding to Their Wish Lists This Spring

As our March issue declares, spring 2025 ushered in the age of accessories, from elaborate headpieces to the full spectrum of colorful hosiery. Luxury houses like Gucci and Prada went all in on revivified archival motifs, while others found ways to trick out “It” bags with whimsical, maximalist charms. In honor of the feature, we decided to poll some of ELLE’s favorite tastemakers from the worlds of art and fashion about what’s on their radar for this season. Whether they’re browsing old-school wired headphones or Prada’s viral goggle hat (two accessories in one!), their lists are as eclectic as their talents.

EarPods With Lightning Connector
“Bluetooth can go to hell.”
Camellia Barrette Fine Jewelry
“Black ribbon, a bow, paper-like petals and pointy leaves…I have no notes.”
Dior Lady Dior Art Woodgrain Bag
“Wow, wow, wow! Props to whoever designed this bag (me).”
Harling Ross Anton, brand consultant and author of the newsletter Gumshoe
Basket Vichy - Rose + Red
“I looked high and low for a stroller bag that felt aligned with my personal style (it became a fixation because I use my stroller every day!) and finally hit the jackpot at Minicoton Barcelona, a small, Spain-based brand that makes really beautiful and functional products.”
Vintage Antique Necklace
“A strand of antique coral beads. This is what I asked for from my husband for Christmas last year, and I wear mine with everything, especially during warmer seasons. You can find great ones on Etsy.”
Her Socks
“Last fall I bookmarked a particularly excellent outfit on the brand Nereja’s Instagram that was styled with cobalt socks, and I’ve been enchanted with the idea ever since. These from Le Bon Shoppe are the best ones I’ve found—they’re just the right shade of blue.”
Hannah Richtman, consultant and founder of Gush
Ear Ring Cuff
“I’m obsessed with the work of Jessi Burch and have been dying for one (or a few) of her ear cuffs. Cynthia Erivo and her statement ear styling really has me in a chokehold. So, I’ll be trying a temporary rendition first before I invest in permanent body modification.”
The Little Thong
“I wear so much transparent that I consider underwear to be an accessory. Shameless plug, but every single day, I am in a gush Little Thong. I designed these to be as comfortable as they are flattering, because I want all of my accessories—thongs and beyond—to suit me so well that I forget I’m wearing them.”
Acne Studios Floral Boots
“In my closet, if it’s not vintage, it’s most likely Acne Studios. For spring 2025, I’d love to get my hands on the blue bag and my feet in the floral boots from look 9 on the spring runway.”
Alyssa Coscarelli, writer and founder of Infinite
Gateaux Necklace
“For spring 2025, I’m predicting a pearls comeback—but did they ever really go anywhere? They’re so cute with a cardigan or midi dress. I’m looking to brands like Sandy Liang and Simone Rocha for fresh, girly takes on the pearl necklace.”
Beaubourg Cabas
“I’m all about an oversized, tote-sized shoulder bag, but held under the arm with belongings just spilling out of it in a very Miu Miu-meets-Brat way. Some favorite brands for this type of bag are Medea, Vaillant, or, of course, the vintage route. Look for a width at least the size of a laptop—and bonus points the more slouchy and beat-up it can be.”
Baby Sunglasses
“I’m still not over clear specs to add a little office vixen to a spring dress look. Even if you’re feeling disheveled, some optical glasses can make your look feel intentional. Nerdy is in!”
Laila Gohar, founder of Gohar World
Host Necklace
“I designed this necklace with my sister Nadia, and wear it all the time. They remind me of green peas strung together.”
Prada Goggle Hat
“I really like this retro-futuristic hat from Prada—it’s great for days when I want to be incognito.”
Simone Rocha Flower Carrier
“This is my next excuse to pick flowers up from the market. I’m into singular-use objects that are not necessities, but they make life a little more exciting.”
Jen Brill, creative director of HommeGirls
Comète Géode Earrings
“The Chanel Comet Geode earrings are dreamy. I’d wear them with a white button-down and denim during the day for fun!”
Boxer N.2 in Yellow Stripe
“I cannot live without my HommeGirls boxer shorts. Looking forward to the new lavender stripe colorway for spring.”
Alaïa Thong Sandals
“I’m living for the spring 2025 Alaïa thong heels in all colors. They’re super minimal, feminine, and hot.”
Brynn Wallner, founder of Dimepiece
Première Sound Watch
“This necklace/headphone watch is at once timeless (the Chanel chain is forever) and unabashedly tapped into the zeitgeist. Depending on how old you are, you may be baffled by the fact that wired headphones are very in; and in releasing this, Chanel seems to almost be poking fun at the trend in the most elevated way. It’s the most unnecessary accessory, and I want it...desperately.”
Cookie Bag
“I think I was very late to the game in discovering the Puppets and Puppets cookie bag (full disclosure: they gifted one to me), but it’s definitely my most beloved party favor. I have the mini version, so it’s too small to hold my iPhone, which is my favorite thing about it...if I’m going out with someone, I’ll take this bag out and leave my phone at home, feeling untethered for the night.”
Lucky Bracelet
“I learned about Carolina Buccia via her work with Audemars Piguet, and I’ve since had the pleasure of interviewing her for Dimepiece and touring her jewelry workshop in Florence, Italy. Bucci is truly a world builder...wearing a piece of her jewelry helps me tap into her universe, which is very warm, very Italian, elegant and fun. Wearing the Florence edition of her Lucky Bracelet (worn by, among others, the iconic Carrie Bradshaw) is a reminder to lean into la dolce vita!”
Christina Holevas, stylist and author of the newsletter Habiter
Miu Miu Socks
“Only Mrs. Prada could innovate on socks in such an unexpectedly covetable way.”
Hermès Clogs
“These super-luxe clogs from Hermès seem surprisingly wearable.”
The Row Raffia Tote
“I would love a big raffia tote for spring—of course The Row makes the perfect one.”
Becky Malinksky, stylist and author of the newsletter 5 Things You Should Buy
Khaite Seed Beaded Sandals
“I love the idea of this playful colorful beading on an otherwise very serious, hot shoe. It makes them somehow...casual.”
Hermès Plume Bag
“This is the ultimate bag to me. Simple, no branding, small enough for day and evening, and a unique neutral. I am not super into black handbags. It’s where I love to add a color or texture. And this is, to me, the ultimate forever, wear-it-with-everything bag.”
Baunty Studded Ballerina Shoes
“I love classic, almost girlish designs that are then completely warped into something tough. These are technically a simple flat but will make anything from jeans to a floral dress feel like they have an intense point of view.”
