As much as we love shopping in Zara, what's it like to work there? It was only a matter of time before employees began sharing their insider info, shopping hacks and things that they really want customers to know about shopping in the store.

And from when the new stock comes in to when the best sale time is, here's 9 things they want you to know about stocking up on your latest Zara favourites.

1. You should wash things you buy before wearing them

An ex employee told Buzzfeed that more clothes than you'd think end up dirty each day, from customers trying them on. 'I recommend washing your clothes before wearing them,' they commented. 'Usually, there's a lot of makeup stains.'

2. They can change designs based on feedback

Zara's design team are dedicated to changing and editing designs based on customer feedback can have a new design created and distributed in just one-to-two weeks, according to Business Insider. So give them feedback on social media and keep your fingers crossed for your dream top!

3. The best days to shop are Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Namely because it's the start of the week and is less likely to be busy, but as an ex-employee also explained, 'Especially Tuesdays - that's when new clothes come in, and there are almost no customers.'

4. The best time to shop is before noon

For her video '5 secrets Zara workers don't want you to know', Prada Passport interviewed one of her friends who used to work at the shop, and says the best time to shop is in the morning.

'This is because even during the week days, during lunch time it gets super, super busy. Definitely go before noon because once it hits one o'clock, everything gets really busy. The lines get really long, the store gets really crowded, it's not the same shopping experience,' she commented.

5. If your size isn't on the shop floor, it doesn't mean they don't have it in stock

Apparently, each display area on the shop floor only fits a certain number of items of clothing (be it 15 shirts or 10 dresses etc), so they have to hold some back if they won't fit. It's always worth asking if your size on the shop floor has sold out, or if there are more sizes in the stock room.

6. Don't try to return clothes to the normal tills

Every seasonedZara shopper knows they have dedicated customer service areas, which means you won't be able to return any items of clothing to the normal tills. You'll be turned away from normal tills trying to exchange something, and the customer services till if you're trying to buy something, so that's a waste of everyone's time, isn't it?

7. The shops are often arranged from most-to-least expensive

While this may only be one shop assistant's experience, apparently the most pricey items are put by the entrance, and the cheaper Trafaluc range tend to be displayed upstairs. 'In Zara, all of the clothes from the front to the back are arranged by price,' Prada Passport says. 'So if you walk in and see [big prices], don't get discouraged - you just really have to go to the back or up to the next floor!'

8. Staff get a 25% discount

After working at the brand for a certain amount of time, employees say they'e given a 25% discount which can be used in store or online. Pretty great, right?

9. They offer sales all year round

Although the big ones are in January and June, an ex-employee told Buzzfeed they actually offer discounted clothes all year round, commenting, 'You don't have to wait for a change of season. It's very typical for there to be sales on random days... So it's good to subscribe to the newsletter to stay informed. When there are discounts, people move everything around. So you might think that something is expensive, but if you check the tag, it ends up being from the discount section.'
