7 vegan skincare brands that should be on your shopping list

From Harpers Bazaar UK

1. Pai

If you're a newcomer to vegan skincare, Pai is the best place to start. They have an extensive line of products, so it's easy to find everything you could need in one place. Plus the brand's totally transparent when it comes to what's in their formulas, so every single ingredient in each of the products is clearly listed on the website.

2. Odacité

If you've never heard of Odacité before, you need to listen up, because not only are their products 100% vegan, but their 'serum concentrates' are total game-changers for anyone with problem skin. The mini bottles each contain a seriously potent blend of plant extracts and oils that are targeted to specific concerns, whether it's clogged pores, hyperpigmentation or dehydration. You only need a drop or two into your skincare routine and they'll help tackle any issues, asap.

3. PLANT Apothecary

Brooklyn-based brand, PLANT Apothecary, is one of the coolest vegan skincare lines we've stumbled across. The clean, monochrome packaging and snappy product names make their lotions and potions look like they're straight off a cool Insta feed. But the brand isn't just a pretty face, the products themselves are packed with the high-quality ingredients and skin-loving essential oils.

4. Skyn Iceland

While a lot of vegan beauty brands can be tricky to get hold of, Skyn Iceland can be found in your local M&S, which is very convenient. The product range is pretty vast, but one of our fave products are the mega refreshing Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels, £14. If you're hungover and need a quick wake up call, these patches will work a treat and blitz any bags or dark circles.

5. SkinOwl

A stripped back vegan skincare brand who's philosophy seems to be 'less is more'. Rather than producing a ton of overcomplicated products, SkinOwl have a capsule collection made up of 'beauty oils', a 'beauty steam', a cleansing bar and targeted products for the eyes, neck and body. They are simple, but work.

6. B. Skincare

Superdrug are making vegan skincare products friendlier on the wallet (and our overdrafts are very grateful) with their in-house range, B. Yep, a pack of face wipes starts at just £1.45, while a day cream will only set you back £4.95 - who says animal-free beauty has to break the bank?

7. UMA Oils

If you fancy something a little more luxe (but still 100% vegan, of course), UMA oils are the perfect choice. Ranging from £60-£135, they're pricey, but the impeccable formulas are packed with the highest quality essential oils plus the glass bottles and illustrated packaging is dreamy.
