Baby cardigan knitting pattern
This knitting pattern for a baby cardigan is adorable – the stripe detail is on the collar and sleeves finishes it perfectly.
We've knitted ours in sage yarn for a more neutral finish, but choose whichever colour-way you like best! It looks adorable with the matching hat, too.
We've included measurements for five sizes, so you can make the cardigan for every baby from a newborn to 6 months old.
One of the great things about making baby clothes is they knit up so quickly – if you're a more experienced knitter, this will only take you a few evenings to complete.
Baby hat knitting pattern
And if you've made the cardigan for a new arrival, why not also stitch them a matching hat? The stripe detail continues from the cardigan to the hat, making them a perfectly matching set. It will keep the new arrival lovely and cosy when out and about. It's a great project to use up scraps of yarn leftover from the cardigan, too.
It's such a lovely and quick-to-make project, you'll find yourself making a cute baby hat in every colour!
Baby blanket knitting pattern
This baby blanket is the perfect knitting pattern for beginners. It's all knitted in one colour, making it a straightforward knit, with some textured detail added through varying the stitches. If you're new to certain knitting stitches, this pattern is a great way to build your confidence.
A baby blanket is such a gorgeous gift for a new arrival, and will look lovely in their cot or pram. It's a great way to use up a few balls of yarn leftover in your stash, too.
Beautiful baby set
If you're expecting a new arrival in the family, why not stitch this gorgeous bib and pinafore knitted set? The embroidery details really make it – it's such a pretty project!
The pinafore can be made in four sizes for babies and toddlers up to 24 months.
We've knitted our set in a neutral oatmeal yarn, but you could go bolder and brighter with your colour choices!
Mushroom motif baby set
This gorgeous set of a baby sweater and hat is perfect for colder months and will go down a treat for a new arrival!
The mushroom motif is such a sweet detail, too – this is a great first project to try with a motif design. It knits up really quickly, so will be ready in no time! We've stitched ours in autumnal reds and greens, but you can choose any colour you like!
