I get a lot of things from my mom: her sense of humor, her desire for easy, no-fuss recipes, and her love for Aldi. Can you believe there was a time when shopping at the German grocer wasn’t “cool?” Now, everyone seems like a pro heading down the Aldi Finds aisle for copycat products and seasonal favorites—but, my mom and I have been there since the beginning.

Naturally, the foods my mom tends to buy from Aldi are the ones I’m fond of, as well. As long as my freezer is stocked with Red Bag Chicken and my pantry is full of risotto packets, I’m honestly set.

While our family goes gaga for the Atomic Spicy Pickles and Mama Cozzi’s breakfast pizza, there’s one elusive Aldi Find that’s so delicious, my mom clears the shelves when she finds it—and it’s finally back this week.

Beginning June 19, Aldi is once again selling Wahlburgers Gourmet Blend Angus Beef Burger patties for a limited time.

Yes, the same Wahlburgers as the restaurant chain opened by Paul Wahlberg, Donnie and Mark’s brother. The restaurant has an at-home line of burgers, ground meat, hot dogs, chicken, pickles, sauces, and more.

Occasionally, usually during the summer, Aldi will bring in some Wahlburgers products as limited-time Aldi Finds. Typically, it’s the burgers, Wahl Sauce, and Fresh Dill Pickles—but I find the burgers to be the best, and also the hardest to come by.

The “Famous Gourmet” burgers are Wahlburgers’ signature blend of Angus chuck, brisket, and short rib. When I tell you it’s the best burger I’ve ever made at home, I’m not kidding. They’re tender, rich, juicy, and make for the perfect summer meal right off the grill.

While Wahlburgers does sell its burger patties in a frozen variety, Aldi usually stocks the fresh version, which is what we always buy. You can easily freeze the patties yourself, but, honestly, the first batch of Wahlburgers doesn’t usually last that long in our house.

Aldi sells the four-pack of burgers for $6.99. It may sound steep for Aldi burgers, but that’s priced per pack and not per pound. The store normally sells burger patties for $4.09 per pound, which could easily add up if you’re getting bigger burgers.

Plus, it’s a steal for Wahlburgers’ meat, in general. The local grocery store near my family home sells the Chuck Brisket Blend burgers for $11.99, so, finding them nearly half-off at Aldi is enough reason to fill up our shopping cart.

Wahlburgers’ patties can be found in Aldi’s fresh meat section while supplies last—but, if my mom has anything to do about it, supplies will not last long.
