If you’re looking for a fun and effective workout, Denise Austin has you covered. The fitness icon recently shared a workout video on Instagram demonstrating an upbeat, aerobic exercise that she says will boost your heart rate and your mood.

“My nature is to always find a way to stay positive! So Let’s LIFT our spirits together with this MOOD-BOOSTING MOVE...it works every muscle in the body…yes...we have 640 muscles in the body...Get the oxygen flowing to boost your energy and improve circulation...and circulation helps heal your body...so you can FEEL better!!!” Austin captioned the video. “Do this simple move for ONE minute…and switch sides too…So let’s get up, get moving, and start feeling together!! Xoxo.”

At the beginning of the video, Austin stands in front of the camera sporting a big smile while wearing a pair of pink workout leggings, a black tank top, and her go-to Easy Spirit Mel Emove Walking Shoes in white. “I wanna help lift your spirits,” she exclaims. “Get up and do this one mood-boosting move with me!”

To perform the exercise, Austin faces the side of the room with her legs staggered, about a hip-width distance apart. Next, she extends her back leg up, kicking her foot in front of her body before quickly placing the leg back down. After she places her foot down, she swiftly taps the toes of her opposite leg behind her with a slight lean forward, before continuing right into the next repetition. “Lift your leg in front and tap behind,” she says. While working her legs, she also pumps her arms back and forth to work both the upper and lower body.

“This will get the oxygen to flow, and the circulation to flow,” Austin explains in the video. “So it helps you heal, helps you feel better, gets some energy through the body!”

As usual, fans loved Austin’s informative clip. “I do all your moves and videos...you put me in tip-top shape!! Love you,” one follower wrote. “You are such an inspiration,” another commented. “Love your energy💞,” another added.
