Finding cute and not ridiculously expensive holiday decor is no easy feat, but these little red bows from Target’s Wondershop are the holiday decorating hack you didn’t know you needed. Not only are they only $5 for an eight count, TikTokers are using them to adorn an unlikely household item: shower curtains!

Exhibit A: @.kelseydean swapped in a red bow-themed shower curtain for the holidays and nabbed over 1 million video views in the process. But for me, the real seasonal cherry on top was when the TikToker then added Target bows to the shower curtain’s hooks at one commenter’s suggestion — so creative! I’ve found it challenging to find fun ways to spruce up my bathroom decor, but this looks so fun and easy.

You also don’t have to try this bow hack for holiday vibes — you can do it for yearlong adorable vibes. TikToker Kaitlyn Harrell (@kaitlynrmartin) added velvet bows to a shower curtain, too, but opted for little black ones to match a simple white waffle curtain. Harrell even shot a step-by-step video of how to assemble the bows and make them stay on top of the curtain (and the cat cameo is a much appreciated bonus!).

Every bathroom’s ventilation situation is different, so make sure you monitor your bows for mildew and think about using a shower curtain you wouldn’t be sad to find some potential color bleeding on from the bows.

If you don’t have a shower curtain but still want to partake in the festive bow trend, you could add bows to your window curtains instead. TikToker @lessly.sauceda posted a video doing just that, and I am definitely pitching this idea to my roommates.

I love that this trend is festive for the holiday season but easily transferable to a year-round look. Finding simple trends I can participate in as a college student with a low budget and big decor aspirations is so *joyful*.
