A desire for unique or once-in-a-lifetime experiences is likely to influence budgets and plans for 52% of travelers. While many travelers are booking travel in the off-season or shoulder seasons to save money, travelers are willing to pay more for VIP access to events and attractions, unique cultural experiences, and luxury suites or villas.

With this in mind, let’s look at some of the most anticipated luxury resort openings in the U.S. in 2025.

Palm House, Palm Beach, Florida

With year-round warm weather and white-sand beaches, Palm Beach, Florida, remains a top luxury destination for travelers of all ages. Museums, art galleries, and golf courses provide plenty to do, although we wouldn’t blame you if you wanted to relax on the beach or poolside all day soaking up the sun.

The new Palm House features four styles of rooms and one- or two-bedroom suites, as well as a two-story, 1,982-square-foot presidential suite. Rooms start at $900 per night, with the Royal Palm two-bedroom suite costing around $5,670.

Sylvan Lodge, Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Home to the famed Yellowstone and Teton National Parks, Jackson Hole, Wyoming offers unique outdoor experiences, farm-to-table dining, shopping, and cultural events in the Town Square. Travelers seeking the ultimate luxury accommodations in this Western haven may want to consider The Sylvan Lodge in the heart of the Snake River Sporting Club.

Set to open in the summer of 2025, the lodge features 38 accommodations ranging from one- to four-bedroom suites. A representative told GOBankingRates that accommodations will start around $2,000 per night and will include perks like a Geneva Bluetooth Sound System in each room, USB and wireless charging capabilities, and a complimentary Yeti water bottle for each guest.

White Elephant Aspen, Aspen, Colorado

The White Elephant Aspen is set to open this fall, just in time for ski season. Based on the company’s other locations in Nantucket, MA, and Palm Beach, FL, the new White Elephant Aspen should be worth the wait.

The resort’s location in the Roaring Fork Valley of the Rocky Mountains puts it in prime winter sports territory and a private shuttle to the slopes and ski lockers for guests provides all the necessary amenities. Pricing is not yet available for the Colorado location, but a double queen room in Palm Beach for the weekend of January 19 starts at $1,295 while a two-bedroom suite will set you back more than $5,000 per night.

The Asticou, Northeast Harbor, Maine

Newly renovated, The Asticou Hotel in Northeast Harbor, Maine, celebrates its grand reopening in June 2025, according to a company representative. The historic landmark was constructed in 1884, rebuilt in 1901, and maintains its old world European charm.

Garden cottage suites overlook the pool or natural waters. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar and restaurant and full-service spa. A company representative said rates start at $750 per night, but deals may be available for the grand re-opening since the website shows rooms available for $525 and up.

Waldorf Astoria, New York City, New York

The famed Waldorf Astoria in Midtown Manhattan, owned by Hilton, is now accepting reservations for the fall, following its planned spring opening. Close to Grand Central Station, Rockefeller Center and other New York City landmarks and tourist attractions, the Waldorf Astoria encapsulates both the history and the future of New York.

Renovated with modern amenities while retaining its Art Deco design, the hotel is sure to re-emerge as one of the most sought-after stays in Manhattan once again. One-night stays in November start at roughly $2,000 but can approach $6,000 a night for a one-bedroom suite. Since this is a Hilton property, you can earn and redeem points to defray the costs.
