5 excellent ways to make your home greener this month
Our homes are places that reflect the things we love, whether through our choice of colour, framed photographs or carefully selected pieces of furniture. But with three quarters of us now worried about climate change, our homes can also be places that reflect our environmental values. After all, there's no better place to start making more sustainable, eco-friendly choices – and buying eco doesn't mean sacrificing on style.
Here at House Beautiful, we have selected five eco buys to ensure your interiors are sustainable and on trend – from CO2-absorbing paint to wool bedding sourced from British sheep. Take a look at our top picks...

1) Graphenstone eco friendly paint
Graphenstone’s paint has such strong eco-credentials that, as well as being entirely non-toxic and VOC-free, it actually absorbs CO2 thanks to their lime and mineral makeup. Colour consultant Betsy Smith has curated its uplifting Spring Summer 2022 palette, which is full of playful colour combinations that aim to enhance wellbeing. Good for you and good for the planet – like as if you needed an excuse to redecorate.

4) Pott refillable candles
If you feel guilty throwing away used candle pots, look no further than Pott's eco-friendly, refillable candle holders. The 'Potts' are hand-thrown by artisan potters in the UK, with a range of fragrant refills to choose from. Potts start at £30, with refills from £12. Candle obsessives can also opt for a monthly subscription.

5) Woolroom organic bedding
Did you know that wool biodegrades within 18 months to form a nitrogen-rich compost? That's just one of its wonders. It also naturally regulates heat and is fire resistant, making it perfect for bedding. Family-run company Woolroom uses British soft-wool blends from UK sheep (the wool used is traceable to the farm it came from) in its new organic bedding collection. Prices start at £73.99 for a single duvet.
