Book-lovers rejoice! Here’s our pick of the literary festivals across the country this autumn.
Cheltenham Literature Festival
When: 6-15 October
Where: Cheltenham
Highlights: One of the oldest book festivals in the world, the Cheltenham Literature Festival was established in 1949. There are over 500 debates, interviews and workshops planned in 2023. No names have been released yet for this year's events but last year's speakers included Stephen King, Celeste Ng and Elizabeth Strout, among many others.

Wimbledon BookFest
When: 12 to 22 October
Where: Wimbledon, South London
Highlights: Set in leafy South London, this 10-day festival has a huge range of talks for both adults and children. Authors attending this year include Rose Tremain, Philippa Gregory, Janice Hallett and Natalie Haynes.
Henley Literary Festival
When: 30 September to 8 October
Where: Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire
Highlights: This festival held in beautiful Henley on the banks of the river Thames is a lovely place to spend a few days. Among the speakers this year are Theresa May, Shappi Khorsandi, Beth O'Leary and Jacqueline Wilson.

Black British Book Festival
When: 27-28 October
Where: Southbank Centre, London
Highlights: The festival was founded by Selina Brown to celebrate new and emerging Black British Authors across all genres. Speakers this year include Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Clive Myrie, Oti Mabuse and Candice Braithwaite.

Good Housekeeping Live
When: 10-11 November
Where: 116 Pall Mall, London
Highlights: Our first two-day festival in 2022 was so successful that we’re bringing it back for 2023 and this year it’s going to be even bigger, better and bolder!
