At 43, Jessica Alba Is Kicking Off 2025 With This Powerful Workout
Jessica Alba shared how she is kicking off the new year in the gym.
She likes to switch up her workouts to keep them interesting.
“I just try to keep it moving,” she said in a previous interview.
Jessica Alba kicked off 2025 with a bang, fitness-wise—or more of a punch, if you will, given that she spent her first sweat sesh of the year boxing like a total pro.
In an Instagram video shared on January 6, she shared her eagerness to start the first full week of the year with powerful energy. “The first Monday of 2025 - let’s get after it! 👊🏽💦 #MondayMotivation #Hustler #LetsGo,” she captioned a compilation of clips from the workout with her trainer.
In the videos, she warmed up on the treadmill, then sparred with her trainer, who, wearing punch mitts, kept her on her toes as she dodged his swings and threw some of her own. The clip ended with a sweaty Alba holding the camera and proclaiming her defeat. “I think I’m done,” she laughed. “I feel pretty cooked.” Her trainer let her know that the session lasted 20 minutes. In other slides from the same post, she shared motivational quotes for the new year and a snap of her posing in purple boxing gloves and flexing, engaged bicep on full display.
Alba often shares snippets of her workouts on Instagram, and it’s evident that she loves a good sweat and reset. She captured her post-holiday dewiness in a December gym selfie, documented a December spin ride, and showed herself lifting weights, doing cardio, and wearing a weighted vest in a November clip.
In June, she told E! News that she likes to switch things up to keep working out interesting. “I get bored,” she said. “So I do spinning and I do cross training with a mix of weights and cardio. I just try to keep it moving.” She also prefers not to move alone. “I try to recruit my friends to come with me,” she added. “It’s just more fun if you go with someone.”
Whatever she has to do to get her steps in, so to speak, Alba will do it. Her action roles over the years in movies like Fantastic Four, Dark Angel, and Trigger Warning have surely helped, and even in her “free” time, she’s sneaking in movement with activities like hiking and golfing.
