A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder after a woman and a two-year-old girl were found with "very serious injuries" at a home in Surrey. Officers were called to an address on Woodthorpe Road in Ashford at 1:15pm yesterday (January 16) following a report of a concern for safety at the location. The woman, aged in her 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene while the child was taken to hospital for treatment, police said.
