The $3 Aldi Find We Wait for All Year Is Back—and My Mom Already Bought 5

Every week as an Aldi shopper is great. Between your weekly go-tos, the unique seasonal products, and the ever-changing Aldi Finds, you never really know what your Aldi trip is going to look like.

Seasoned Aldi shoppers have their particular Aldi Finds they look forward to spotting. Some of my favorites include the Wahlburgers patties, Mama Cozzi’s frozen breakfast pizza, and Clancy’s Cheddar & Sour Cream Baked Ripples. Luckily, those items make pretty consistent returns—similar to another one of my favorite Aldi Finds, which happens to be back this week.

Because Aldi originated in Germany, its “German Week” is one of the most highly anticipated times to shop at the grocery store. That’s when Aldi imports and sells dozens of German specialties, like schnitzel, spaetzle, and cream cakes, for its U.S. customers to enjoy.

To celebrate Oktoberfest kicking off in Munich this weekend, Aldi’s German Week begins on Sept. 18—and that means one of the German finds I stock up on for use all year long is finally back.

The German Week Aldi Find I'm Stocking Up On

This week, Aldi is selling an assortment of Inglehoffer mustards, including the Sweet Honey Mustard, Original Stone Ground Mustard, and Cream Style Horseradish. While all three are customer favorites, the one I run to the store for is the spicy horseradish.

Inglehoffer’s Cream Style Horseradish is the perfect addition to roast beef, pork, beef tenderloin, and even Christmas ham—which means we always have to have a bottle at my house. These gourmet condiments make frequent appearances at Aldi, and when they do, my family usually stocks up on about five bottles to ensure we’re never without the delicious sauce.

Both the Sweet Honey Mustard and Original Stone Ground Mustard are customer favorites as well.

“I normally hate anything with mustard, but this is the only exception I'll make. The Dijon mustard is my favorite,” says Allrecipes’ editorial fellow, Victoria Soliz.

Despite its yearly presence during Aldi’s German Week, Inglehoffer’s mustards and horseradish are actually produced in the U.S. by Beaverton Foods. The Cream Style Horseradish was America’s first-ever shelf-stable creamy horseradish on the market, and both its mustards have won gold medals at the Napa Valley World Mustard Championships. So, I think it’s safe to say they’ve earned their spot at the German grocer.
