The 2024 WNBA Draft Was a Particularly Fashionable Occasion

Every year, after the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) Division I women's basketball season ends, the WNBA selects new players from a buzzy, talented pool via the draft. But this year's was like no other: The women's NCAA championship game drew a larger viewership than the men's final, for the first time in history.

So the 2024 WNBA draft on Monday evening was, of course, a highly anticipated moment. And it didn't just reveal which players are headed to which teams — the evening also cemented many of the the young athletes as style stars.

Caitlin Clark, the number one pick selected by Indiana Fever, chose a white Prada set with a patent handbag for the big night. Angel Reese, who notably first announced she was entering the draft in Vogue, donned a glittering, hooded dress by the New York-based label Bronx and Banco. Cameron Brink also went for a gown — in a black-and-white, one-shoulder silhouette — by Balmain.
