We can all agree that there are far too many Black Friday deals and Cyber Monday offers to sift through right now, which makes it particularly hard to work out what’s actually worth buying. That’s especially true when it comes to big-ticket tech items.

You don’t want to choose poorly when it comes to expensive buys, so the GH Tech Team has created a list of their favourite products on offer in the sale below – just don't wait around, the Cyber Monday event is almost over!

Think of it as a roundup of the gadgets and gizmos we’d really want to receive, or that we’d give as Christmas presents in 2024. Some of the discounts on these products may not be as phenomenal as on the absolute cheapest items in the sale, we know, but picking up any of this tech will be money well spent.

For more of the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals running now, we’d recommend reading our roundups of the most tempting discounts, including our tech gift guide, the best Sky deals, the top TV offers, affordable headphones under £50 and the best PS5 deals.

Apple AirPods Pro 2

For iPhone owners, there’s no other pair of wireless earbuds that I’d recommend more highly, especially for their fantastic noise-cancellation and sound quality.

The AirPods Pro 2 are stuffed full of Apple device-enhancing features that I use all the time, whether that’s spatial audio to make it feel like I’m at the cinema while watching Star Wars on my iPad, hands-free access to Siri to give me a quick weather update or read my incoming notifications, or a bunch of handy “Find My” additions to the buds, enabling precise direction and a chirping case – ideal to help me find them when they’re lost in between the cushions on the sofa.

The latest version of the AirPods Pro adds convenient USB-C charging to the case and it’s now at a 22% price drop, bringing them down to £179 from £229.

Google Pixel 9

After testing loads of the newest releases this year, we on the GH Tech Team agree that the Google Pixel 9 is easily the best mid-range Android phone to come across our desks.

It takes stunning photos that rival the best on the market and its speed, battery life, screen and charging capabilities are every bit as good as all the expensive models out there.

If we were buying an Android phone upgrade, it would be at the top of our list – especially now, as the Pixel 9 is 14% off for Cyber Monday, going for £690.56.

Beats Fit Pro

Shopping around for a present for a workout-mad relative or know your partner wants to hit their fitness goals in 2024? The Beats Fit Pro is the best option for anyone worried about how well true wireless earphones will fit in their ears, because each bud has a flexible silicone wing to keep it secure, no matter how challenging the HIIT session or yoga position.

They offer a motivating bass-heavy sound signature, all my favourite AirPods features (including hands-free Siri access, spatial audio support and “Find My” to locate them), loads of battery life and brilliant noise-cancelling and transparency.

This 43% price drop, bringing them to £125 from £219 puts them at their lowest price ever (they last went almost as low, to £129, last Black Friday) and is one of the best deals from this entire sales extravaganza.

Anker Nano Power Bank

So you want a handy power bank but you don’t want to give up all the space in your bag for it? I’ve been there. When you’re travelling light, you don’t want to fuss around with tangling cables and bulky equipment, which is why I love this little portable charger so much.

It has a USB-C port for when you need to connect a wire but it also has a built-in USB-C connector that works for charging everything from my phones and tablets to headphones, Kindle and portable speakers.

It’s small and light enough to stash in a pocket and I can think of several times this charger has kept the phone running just a little longer before it runs dry – the capacity is enough to restore 80% of the battery to most phones and if you have an iPhone 14 or earlier, it comes in a Lightning version. Trust me, this one’s a lifesaver.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds

I test a lot of headphones for my job, so you can trust me when I say that no pair of truly wireless earphones is better at cancelling out annoying background noises in the widest range of scenarios.

I know I’ll be able to entrust this Bose pair with delivering some peace and quiet when I’m on my morning commute, but it goes so much further than that.

The QuietComfort Ultra can also bring serenity to a bustling coffee shop, to all the chatter in the office and to the unpredictable noise of the gym.

My favourite features include the secure design that keeps them locked in your ears, the intuitive touch controls and the brilliant sound quality. For Cyber Monday, they’re 34% off and down to their lowest-ever price.

BenQ GW2790E 27 Inch Monitor

Working as a tech editor, I need a good monitor to use as a second screen with my laptop. The extra display makes it much easier to use a web browser, office apps, team chat and other applications, without having to jump from one application to another quite so often.

My old monitor – a 24-inch Samsung model – was literally breaking, as the plastic around the edges was coming away and allowing light from the monitor to leak out. So, I just picked up the BenQ GW2790 to get my setup back in shape.

It comes recommended as one of the best monitors you can buy by some of my Good Housekeeping colleagues, with invaluable eye care functions and an anti-reflective surface. We already have a great monitor arm (this Amazon Basics model), so the lack of height adjustment on the BenQ monitor wasn’t about to put me off.

With a 17% discount for Black Friday weekend, the BenQ monitor currently costs £90. While I checked and could see that it had been around the same price for a while, I thought it was still very good value for money.

Apple AirTags (4-pack)

I’m a late convert to Apple’s AirTags, which first became available in 2021. As of this year, I’ve started using them with almost every bag or item you can imagine. I’ve stashed AirTags in my backpack, on at least two different keyrings, my carry-on suitcase, my sling bag, the case of my over-ear headphones and more locations.

When I’m away from my items, I can track them using Apple’s Find My app, and if I’m at an unfamiliar location and leave them behind, I can rest assured that I’ll get a prompt “left behind” notification on my iPhone.

The tracking is incredibly accurate, thanks to the extensive Apple network of devices, and they’re tiny, water-resistant, capable of emitting a loud siren, and the support sharing with up to five people.

Sure, you could buy just one to get started… but trust me – you’ll soon want a couple more. A four-pack is the way to go, and this deal makes that an affordable option. I

t’s meant to cost you £119 for four of these handy trackers, but they’re now down to £84. That works out at £21 per AirTag, much less than the £28 it usually costs for a single tag.

Dyson HP09 Hot+Cool Formaldehyde Purifying Heater

It’s still pricey, but with a Cyber Monday saving of £150, this 3-in-1 heater/purifier/cooling fan from Dyson has come down to a relatively accessible £549.99.

This device covers many of your domestic air quality needs, with excellent heating and cooling capabilities, plus HEPA filter and carbon filter air purification that goes beyond the average competing model, destroying a comprehensive range of particulates including dust, bacteria and formaldehyde.

It’s a pleasure to use, with an information-rich display, magnetic remote control and easy operation via the Dyson Link app.

The Good Housekeeping Institute awarded this appliance a prestigious score of 93/100 in our roundup of the best purifiers, while it’s also one of the best electric heaters on the market. That says something about the HP09’s quality and versatility.

Apple AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation

Love the idea of active noise-cancellation but can’t stand the feeling of wearing wireless earbuds with silicone or foam in-ear tips? I know it’s tricky to find a pair that’ll actually keep out the distraction of outside sounds, but Apple’s got an updated model to help in the latest AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation.

Believe me, I was sceptical about how well it would work, given that the typical AirPods design is a semi-open fit that tends to let outside sounds in. But then I tested them on a flight and I came away convinced!

These little buds are great at cancelling out sounds, sound excellent and fit me more comfortably than any previous pair of AirPods (other than the excellent AirPods Pro) have done.

Fujifilm Instax Share SP-3 Printer

This lovely little device prints out square, Polaroid-like photos from your connected smartphone.

I’ve had an Instax Share SP-3 for several years, and I most recently used the printer to print my wedding photos. It’s a delight to have a gadget at home that can print photos in a cute, nostalgic and high-quality physical format.

A live Black Friday discount has reduced the SP-3 to one of its lowest prices ever: a very reasonable £90.99. Do bear in mind that you’ll need to buy Instax “square” film to use with this photo printer (and there are other, incompatible Instax film types that you could easily order by mistake).

Here’s the correct film for the printer at £16.99 for a 20-pack.

Amazon Kindle

I’ve got to be honest, my Kindle is one of my absolute favourite things and having it at my bedside has helped me get back into reading more than any New Year’s resolution.

We all struggle to find the time to get through our reading lists, but with the Kindle and its built-in light I’ve had no trouble keeping reading after my partner has gone off to sleep and it’s so light and compact that I never struggle to bring it with me when I go travelling.

The battery life lasts so long that I barely ever worry about having to recharge it too. While I’m still testing the newest Kindles from the refreshed lineup, the faster page turns and higher contrast ratio makes this new one a better first Kindle than the previous one.

At 16% off, down to £79.99 from £94.99, it’s an absolute steal whether you’re grabbing one for yourself or as a present for someone with aspirations to read more.

Mous Case for iPhone 15 - Limitless 5.0

I have been hands-on with a lot of smartphone cases in the past year for iPhones and Google Pixel phones – and the one I keep coming back to is this Mous Limitless, with my personal favourite being the Black Leather version.

It feels extremely premium, snaps on with a secure fit and adds lots of protection without too much bulk. My only downside (before now) was the relatively high price compared to some other options, but with the 24% Black Friday discount this is an easy recommendation from me.

And there are price cuts for the whole Mous range on Amazon.

Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore

Portable speakers seem to come in all shapes and sizes nowadays, but getting one with top-spec sound and premium build quality tends to be pricey.

That is, until now. I use this Bang & Olufsen Explore speaker if I ever need to bring music onto the balcony or into the back garden, and I can feel safe that it’ll keep working even if it gets caught in a typical British downpour because it’s sealed for water and dust resistance.

The Beosound Explore also has a fantastic 360-degree audio performance, 27 hours of battery life (more than any of us need) and, for the time being, a 39% price cut during the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales.

We wouldn’t miss out on this one, it’s a terrific little speaker you’ll get loads of use out of, especially when the weather is warmer. I think it makes a perfect gift for the music lover in your life too.

Anker 622 Magnetic Wireless Power Bank

Another option that takes the fuss out of using a power bank, this slim unit snaps right to the back of any iPhone newer since the iPhone 12 and recharges it wirelessly. If you’re anything like me, you’re probably a bit prone to forgetting to take a cable in your bag when you’re dashing out the door. That’s what makes wireless power banks like this so brilliant.

Because it uses magnets for alignment too, you’ll never be in a situation when your portable charger is not connected or not charging your handset – the magnets ensure a reliable charge every time.

And there’s a clever perk too, it has a flip-up stand built-in, so you can charge your phone while standing it up in either or vertical or horizontal orientation.

In terms of capacity, it packs in a solid 5,000mAh, which should be enough for one full recharge of your phone. Need more? I’d recommend picking the Anker Ultra-Slim 10,000mAh magnetic portable charger, with twice the capacity (luckily – it’s on offer too!).

Lavazza A Modo Mio Deséa Coffee Capsule Machine

I love a good cup of coffee while I work. Unfortunately, on busy days when caffeine is most urgently needed, there’s not always time to grind fresh beans and manually make an espresso.

In those hectic moments, I turn to the Lavazza A Modo Mio Deséa, a chic-looking coffee capsule machine that’ll serve a decent coffee in next to no time and with minimal effort. Even the milk frother accessory is quick and easy to use, if ever I need to whip up a latte for a loved one.

The Deséa is compatible exclusively with A Modo Mio coffee pods, many of which are discounted for Black Friday. I’d urge you to use a coffee packaged in Lavazza’s compostable Eco Caps, which are much more environmentally friendly than your average coffee capsule.

Philips Sonicare Series 7900 Advanced Whitening Toothbrush

Electric toothbrushes are often discounted, but rarely more so than during a proper seasonal sale. I picked up this bougie Philips model at a bargain price during October’s Prime Days event, and I’ve noticed it’s available on an even deeper discount right now, at £89.99 – 64% off the RRP.

The best thing I can say for this toothbrush is that it makes my teeth look and feel cleaner than they used to. There are four brushing modes to choose between, and the toothbrush provides an incredible amount of runtime – we’re talking weeks, not days – on a single charge.

One downside to any Philips Sonicare toothbrush is the ongoing expense of replacing the toothbrush heads – so it might be smart to pick up some spares while Black Friday and Cyber Monday discounts are still available.

Beldray Clothes Airer & Heated Pod Drying System

This is the household gadget I’ve been evangelising about among friends and family in recent months. It’s an all-in-one laundry drying system, including an electric heater, airing stand and soft cover – all three of which work together to dry clothes quickly indoors.

I use this super-useful system once or twice a week, whenever I need to dry things like t-shirts, socks and towels in a hurry. (I wouldn’t use it to dry delicate or woollen items, just in case the heat would be too much for them.)

Beldray’s system has made it easier to get my laundry dry, indoors, during the increasingly wintry weather. You can currently pick it up at the discounted price of £49.99.

Henry Quick Hen.100 Cordless Stick Vacuum

Henry, is that you? The brains behind Henry The Hoover have deconstructed and reimagined their iconic homecare mascot in this excellent cordless stick vacuum.

I’m eyeing up the Quick Hen.100 as my next vacuum cleaner – and that’s not entirely down to the cute face on the vac. Like the famous corded Henry hoover range, this model is equipped for hardcore cleaning, with a 300W power rating, a high-capacity dust storage compartment and a handy wall-mounting accessory. I’ve been storing my current cordless vac in a wicker basket under the stairs, so this would be a considerable improvement.

JLab Epic Lab Edition

Reduced by 39% to £122.99, these JLab Epic Lab Edition earbuds are surely one of the best bargains of Cyber Monday 2024.

I’ve been using the JLab Epic Lab Edition for about a month, and now consider them my go-to earbuds. They sound fantastic, with hi-res, spatial audio, and a pair of premium drivers dedicated to bass and high-end respectively.

The only earphone I’ve used that had comparable sound quality was a wired model from Bowers & Wilkins – so these JLab buds are in distinguished company.

Another highlight of the Epic Lab Edition is the metal charging case, which is pleasingly weighty and holds enough charge to deliver over 56 hours of listening. You’ll notice how rarely you need to charge it up.

There are so many plus points, and I’ve not even mentioned the earbuds’ excellent active noise cancellation, customisation options via the JLab app, or several other impressive specs and features.

I’ve loved using these buds at home and on my travels (although not while running, as I wouldn’t want to risk dropping them). I expect you’ll be equally impressed – especially given the current Cyber Monday discount.

Tips for shopping Cyber Monday deals

  1. Make a wishlist now: Create a list of the items you hope to buy. Knowing exactly what you’re looking for will save time and help you focus on the best offers.

  2. Set price alerts: Use tools like CamelCamelCamel (for products on Amazon) or PriceSpy to track price drops.

  3. Check stock early: Hot-ticket items like gaming consoles or high-end headphones sell out quickly. Don’t wait to start shopping if they're already at all-time low prices!

  4. Compare prices across retailers: Even if a deal looks great, check prices on other sites. Some retailers offer extra perks like extended warranties, free shipping, or bundle discounts.

  5. It's not a deal if you weren't planning on buying it: Trust in these words of wisdom from Good Housekeeping's consumer advice experts: "If you weren't planning to buy it, it's not a saving no matter how big the discount!"

Cyber Monday vs Black Friday: What’s the difference?

By now, the line between Black Friday and Cyber Monday has blurred. They're essentially the same, and many Black Friday deals continue through Cyber Monday.

How long is Cyber Monday for?

Cyber Monday initially spanned just one day, but depending on the retailer it can now often extend into a “Cyber Week” lasting several days.

However, we've also noticed that any long-lasting Black Friday deals and Cyber Monday offers tend to abruptly end once the day is over, so it's best viewed as a last chance to snap up reduced items, especially as some discounts only last while stock is available.

In short, it’s wise to act quickly on the best finds.

Is Cyber Monday better than Black Friday?

In reality, we don't find that there's a big difference between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with many deals from the preceding event lasting until the end of the Monday.

In the past, Black Friday may have had a focus on big-ticket items and in-store promotions while Cyber Monday emphasised online exclusives, including tech gadgets.

But, in 2024, the two events are both similar and connected, given that all the best Black Friday deals are also available for online shoppers.

Does Apple do Cyber Monday deals?

Apple rarely participates directly in Black Friday or Cyber Monday discounts, but you might be able to find deals from top retailers and resellers.

While you might not see drastic discounts, there could be promotions on certain Apple Watch, AirPods, and iPad models.

Check our our guide to the best Apple Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals if you wish to bag some (small) Apple discounts.
