This woman suffered from a three-year long 'pregnancy'
It sounds like a nightmare, pregnancy symptoms that go on for three years and doctors unable to work out what might be wrong.
Margaret McMead from Ireland first sought the help of her GP after suffering from an extremely bloated stomach with abdominal pain. Doctors initially diagnosed irritable bowel syndrome to explain the raft of symptoms, but Margaret wasn't convinced.
After being referred to other doctors and various trips to accident and emergency, she decided to go private. After having a scan of her abdomen, medical staff discovered that a large growth on the womb had caused her extended stomach.
