Michelle Rodriguez claims Liam Neeson can't be racist: 'His tongue was so far down Viola Davis's throat'
Michelle Rodriguez has jumped to the defence of her Widows co-star Liam Neeson amid his controversial comments about seeking revenge on a black man.
Speaking to reporters at a red carpet event she insisted the Irish actor is not a racist.
"Dude, have you watched Widows? His tongue was so far down Viola Davis' throat. You can't call him a racist ever.
"Racists don't make out with the race that they hate, especially in the way he does with his tongue—so deep down her throat. I don't care how good of an actor you are."
She added: "It's all bullshit. Ignore it. He's not a racist. He's a loving man. It's all lies."
The star's comments were met with a chorus of disapproval on Twitter.
The lack of historical context, bias blindness and willful ignorance required to open one's mouth and say this about racism is mind boggling. https://t.co/vTdQoGSXMd

Someone please tell Michelle Rodriguez that slave owners routinely raped Black women. That didn't absolve them from being racists. Her defense of Liam Neeson is insulting.

michelle rodriguez disregarding the violent history of the rape & abuse of black women at the hands of white men just to hype up her co-star is disgusting. its irresponsible & ugly to spread tactics that are commonly constantly used against bw in cases of abuse to excuse racism pic.twitter.com/4sWcjswbtq

First off, ACTING is his PROFESSION. Just because someone does something in a movie DOESN'T mean they LIKE to do it.
Secondly it's a logical fallacy. It's like saying "A woman can't hate kids if she's a mother herself."https://t.co/2azhvSN5PR— Black Authority (@TheBlackChannel) 7 February 2019
