Time magazine hits back at Trump's claim they asked him to be Person Of The Year
Time magazine has denied claims by US President Donald Trump that they asked him to pose for Person Of The Year.
POTUS took to Twitter on Saturday and claimed the coveted publication had approached him with the honour, but he turned them down.
He wrote: "Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named 'Man (Person) of the Year' like last year.
"But I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway."

However, a spokesperson for the publication denied the conversation had taken place: "The President is incorrect about how we choose Person of the Year. Time does not comment on our choice until publication, which is December 6."
Time's chief content officer, Alan Murray, went a step further, tweeting: "Amazing. Not a speck of truth here."
The war of words comes several months after publishers asked Trump to remove fake versions of their magazine covers from his golf clubs.
In March, Trump boasted "nobody's had more (Time) covers than me". To date, Trump has been on the cover 14 times, while former President Nixon is way ahead with 55 covers.
Following the weekend's furore, a host of celebrities took to Twitter to discuss Trump's tweet.
Tennis champion Andy Murray wrote: "BBC just called to say I was PROBABLY going to be named sports personality of the year but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway."
