Rappers, footballers and members of the Russian Mafia all love AMG's take on the Mercedes G-Class, which adds insane amounts of power and immaculately stitched leather to what was, at one time, a rough-and-tumble offroader. Now those not content with the 'standard' G 63 and G 65 models can go one further, with the new Exclusive Edition. It's an even more luxurious trim level to top the AMG G-Class range, and will go on display at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The standard specifications of the G 63 and G 65 models are already pretty crazy. Fitted with either a 5.5-litre V8 or monstrous 6.0-litre V12 producing 563 and 621bhp respectively, the 2.5-tonne SUV is capable of out-accelerating many a sports car. That's combined with off-road ability which will shame almost anything short of a Range Rover, and a sumptuously trimmed interior kitted out with every bit of tech you can imagine. It's fair to say that both the G 63 and G 65 are true multi-purpose vehicles.
