Heartbroken parents on caring for daughters with 'childhood Alzheimer’s'
A heartbroken couple are keen to raise awareness of the incredibly rare disease that left both their daughters with devastating "childhood Alzheimer's". Emily and Sarah Bushaway were just six and 10 when they were diagnosed with Niemann-Pick disease type C (NPC) – a rare, progressive genetic disorder, affecting only around 700 people worldwide - which causes dementia.
