Bizarre two-headed bat found in Brazil
Bats are fascinating enough by themselves, but imagine seeing one with two heads.
Gizmodo reports about a recent study of a pair of can join bat twins discovered in south eastern Brazil back in 2001.

As the study abstract notes, these twins are males with separated heads and necks but a conjoined trunk.
Adding: "Using ultrasound images we detected the presence of two similarly sized and apparently separated hearts."
Researchers hope a studies like this will help to advance our understanding of such phenomena.
