Wish you were here? Milopotamos beach, Crete


Milopotamos beach near Rethymnon in southern Crete is a white pebbled paradise beach with exotic crystal water of unique beauty, as this drone footage shows.

Situated in Pelion, Milopotamos was recently named one of the top 10 best beaches in a survey by the Greek Ministry of Tourism.

Divided by rocks into two sections with a snaky path leading from one part to another, the beach is lined by pine trees along the path, and there is a beach bar and few lovely taverns.

Mylopotamos beach is very popular in the summer and it attracts both youth and families - so be warned! It's best visited out of season, when you might find you have this little slice of paradise all to yourself.
