These woman aren't flying on a private jet, even though it may look like it, they're just really lucky!

Laura Stevens, Sarah Hunt, and Laurie-Lin Waller showed up for their commercial flight with British Airways - only to find out their 150 passenger plane was completely empty.

That's right, they were the only passengers on the plane flying from Gibraltar to London.

After their original plane was delayed three hours, the girls showed up to the airport a little later to stretch out their holiday.

But once they arrived they found that all of the passengers who arrived on time were squeezed onto an earlier flight - leaving the three of them as the only plane passengers.

After paying only £80 for their economy return flight the women were given five-star treatment by the BA staff who were clearly feeling in the Christmas spirit!

All three were upgraded to business class, given champagne, a three-course-meal and spent the two and a half hour flight taking selfies in the cockpit.

Laura told ITV: "It was an amazing once-in-a-lifetime experience that we'll never forget.

"We felt like celebrities, especially when we were given Champagne - it was the best Christmas present ever, we couldn't believe how kind and lovely everyone was.

"We were the only people in the departure lounge so staff let us use the executive suite, which is usually reserved for business flight passengers."

She added that they had hoped to buy presents for their families in the airport but found the shops were shut, when they told the staff they kindly opened them for them.

Laura added that the staff seemed to be having as much fun as them and the pilot even made an announcement saying "he'd never flown a commercial flight with so few people".

Fingers crossed this is what happens next time we get delayed on holiday!
