According to the LA Times, Spirit Airlines spokesman Paul Berry said several people asked two passengers to turn down the music but the women refused and instead asked the challenging question: "What are you going to do?"

Berry said: "Then to provoke the other customer they were holding the boom box in the air and waving it around."

He said that's when three other girls approached the two women and a fight broke out.

The video shows punches being thrown and hair being pulled, while one woman is knocked over in the aisle.

The San Diego Union Tribune said the Los Angeles Police Department met the flight and took the women off the plane.

One officer, Rob Pedregon, said the women were involved in a "mutual combat situation".

However, an FBI spokeswoman said that nobody was charged.
