Cameras capture numerous trucks striking low railway bridge
More than 100 vehicles have crashed into a low bridge in Durham, North Carolina, since 2008. Being around two feet shorter than the state's minimum clearance for standard-sized trucks, it has caught out drivers who were unaware that their vehicles wouldn't fit through.
The railroad company who maintain the bridge even installed a large steel beam at the front of the bridge to bear the brunt of each impact and protect the structure's beams from damage.
