Oscar Pistorius sells home where he shot Reeva Steenkamp for £250k
The man who bought the Pretoria house where Oscar Pistorius killed his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp says the house was a bargain at £250,000.
Louwtjie Louwrens purchased the home for £100,000 less than the asking price at 4.5 million rand (£254k) last month.
While he says his family was initially resistant to the idea, he insists it's a good buy.
According to The Sun, he said: "For starters my wife wasn't that happy.
"But now that they've started working, I could sense that she's feeling a bit better about the place."
He added that he is convinced it will go up in value again.
The property is located on luxury gated development, Silverwoods Estate, in Pretoria, South Africa.
But it became known for its horrifying scenes after Reeva, 29, was shot through a locked bathroom door.
According to the IB Times, it is not the only property that Oscar has sold off. He has sold three homes for millions of rand, reportedly to pay for his huge legal fees.
Oscar Pistorius admits shooting Reeva dead on Valentine's Day last year, but says he mistook her for an intruder.
His murder trial began in March and Judge Thokozile Masipa found him not guilty of premeditated murder on Thursday 11 September. The culpable homicide (manslaughter charge) is still pending.
