Tormented human statue punches prankster in the face
We've all witnessed street performers being teased or heckled by passersby, but it all got a bit too much for one 'human statue' at a beach resort in Australia.
The Mirror reports that the performer, who was painted grey to resemble a statue of a cowboy, was performing at Cavil Avenue, Surfer's Paradise on Australia's Gold Coast.
Footage posted on YouTube shows him calmly interacting with his audience, until a man starts bothering him by playing with his hat and sticking his finger in his ear.
Another onlooker urges the man to stop, shouting: "Hey, leave him alone!", but the man continues to be a nuisance.
To his credit, the performer does his best to ignore the man, but when he moves in front and starts pinching his face, it all gets a bit much. That's when he lashes out - knocking the man backwards as he punches him in the face.
Although the other onlookers let out a collective gasp, no one seems especially shocked by what happened - perhaps they thought that the man got what he deserved...
