Diets don’t have to be miserable, especially low carb ones. You can still eat plenty of delicious foods without feeling deprived, it’s just a matter of knowing what to avoid and some good alternatives.
If you’re trying to cut out carbs, regarding fruit and veg, a basic rule of thumb is: if it tastes sweet it’s probably high in carbs. Avoid bananas, grapes, pears and pineapple. In terms of veggies, it’s best to stay away from anything starchy. Careful of condiments such as ketchup which are high in sugar and loaded with carbs.
Obviously we don’t recommend extreme or crash dieting but if you’re trying to shed a few pounds for health reasons we hope this list will help you on your way.
