Developed in partnership with Turkish yard Mengi Yay and yacht brokerage partner Camper & Nicholsons, the newcomer is based on a solid platform that is said to ensure low fuel consumption and minimal noise on the water. The vessel features a highly efficient hull designed by the naval architects at Van Oossanen. (The Dutch studio also handled the structural design.) It also showcases a striking exterior, with sleek lines, a streamlined superstructure, and acres of glass.
The stern area is a clear standout, with a vast beach club, a sea terrace, fold-out platforms, and an expansive pool. At the opposite end, the plush foredeck lounge doubles as an open-air cinema. Not to be outdone, the sundeck is one of the largest in the category and is fitted with both a Jacuzzi and fire pit. To top it off, the garage has enough space for a 23-foot tender, a crew tender, and a full arsenal of water toys.
Heading indoors, the light and airy living quarters offer an abundance of space for entertaining. The layout and decor can be customized to the owner’s tastes, naturally. Four spacious VIP cabins sit on the lower deck, while the owner’s suite is located on the main deck. Spanning just shy of 540 square feet, the owner’s suite is equipped with a drawer-style slide-out terrace that can be easily opened and closed without help from the crew.
“The sliding balcony has a couple of modes—when closed, it leaves a little space outside where you can hang out by opening the window door,” studio cofounder Carlo Nuvolari said in a statement. “It’s perfect to take the air or to enjoy the view of the sea and surroundings day or night. When you slide the balcony out, the rail moves into place automatically which means you can operate it and enjoy it in total privacy.”
Nuvolari Lenard also says the NL 50 Plus will be delivered quicker than comparable yachts, with pre-engineered modules speeding up the build process yet still affording plenty of room for customization. It is this aspect that really sets this 170-footer apart from its competition.
“It’s one of an owner’s main expectations to have the yacht in a reasonable time and through an exciting process that involves them but does not cause them stress,” adds Nuvolari.
Less stress? We can get on board with that.
