This $17 Million Penthouse Overlooks N.Y.C.’s Billionaires’ Row

A dazzling, glass-walled penthouse in the same New York City tower where Jay-Z and Beyoncé used to live is seeking a new owner.

The pinnacle unit at the Cesar Pelli-designed One Beacon Court in Manhattan has been hoisted onto the market for just shy of $17 million. Listed with Alen Moshkovich of Serhant, the palatial apartment atop 151 East 58th Street, with up-close views of the supertall towers along Billionaires’ Row, is being offloaded by seller Michael Fux, a self-described “mattress magnate” who founded Comfort Revolution. He is also an avid supercar collector.

Fux’s gleaming aerie sits on the top floor of the 54-story Midtown address, soaring above the clouds with endless vistas that stretch from Central Park to the Hudson River, 1 World Trade Center, the Empire State Building, and the George Washington Bridge. There are lofty 11-foot ceilings and wall-to-wall windows that maximize sweeping views throughout the comfortably spacious 4,500 square feet that comprises three bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms.

The dwelling is entered via a grand foyer that opens up to an expansive, 1,000-square-foot great room. The massive space is wrapped in floor-to-ceiling windows and also has huge gallery-style walls if you’ve got some artwork to hang. There are also polished Crystal White slab floors throughout, motorized window shades, custom Lutron lighting, and a high-end built-in sound system.

The primary suite measures 36 feet long.

Moving on from the great groom, the all-white eat-in kitchen is equipped with a large peninsula and a cozy windowed breakfast nook. The space doesn’t skimp on the high-end details, either. Think custom cabinetry, sleek countertops, and state-of-the-art stainless-steel appliances. Elsewhere, the entire west wing of the home is dedicated to the primary suite, which encompasses a 36-foot-long bedroom with a mirror platform on which the bed sits, a massive walk-in closet and dual bathrooms.

One Beacon Court has seen its fair share of A-listers and moguls pass through its grand interiors. The Carters’ 44th-floor pad was sold in 2017 for $9.95 million, The New York Post reported, and at one point, Queen Bae’s mom, Tina Knowles, also owned a home in the building. More recently, contemporary art collecting billionaire Mets owner Steve Cohen pocketed a whopping $30.5 million for his condo following an arduous eight-year attempt to sell the place.
