If there's one cultural phenomenon that I was instantly struck by as an Aussie living in London, it's that gilets are everywhere. They're completely inescapable!
And I can get on board with the hype, the gilet is a cold-weather game-changer. Perfect for layering to stay extra cosy, but versatile enough that when the weather slowly begins to warm you can change your bottom layers to wear them year-round.
It doesn't hurt they look cute too. A gilet can range from a workout-appro puffer style vest to more fashion-focused faux furs, shearling and quilting that can be worn from the office or even on your chilly morning walks.
I'm already convinced, and especially as the weather is on the journey to warmer temps (Maybe? Who knows!), now is the perfect time to invest and shop.
