At 51 years old, the actress says she's in "best shape of her life," and that's thanks to working out five times a week and sticking to a ketogenic diet.
Josefina Monasterio has some seriously impressive abs. And thighs. She’s also 71 years old. The Venezuelan woman has been impressing her younger counterparts in the bodybuilding ring for the past decade. At the age of 59, she decided to take up weight lifting. Now, she is one of the oldest muscle women in the world. Of course, getting a body like Josefina’s takes a lot of work. Her daily exercise regime includes a six mile run followed by a three mile jog followed by a three mile walk. If that’s not enough, she also embarks on a morning of yoga as well as her beloved weight lifting. The bodybuilder’s diet is also on the healthy side. She always eats a good breakfast (usually consisting of oats) before she leaves the house, snacking on fruit and ending with a hearty meaty meal. The 71-year-old – who also has a PhD in Adult Personal Development and is a certified yoga therapist – regularly posts inspirational videos to her thousands of Facebook fans . She says that her mission is to help others realise that they can achieve anything – if they only put their mind to it. We’d hire her to be our life coach any day. Where's the toothpaste!?), so let's look at some reasons it happens.
Model Sarah Stage is famed for her supremely toned tummy, but the popular Instagram star is no stranger to body criticism.
It can be pretty hard to find the motivation to work out sometimes, especially when it?s dark and dreary outside. According to Julie Standish of the book ?How Not To Wear Black?, specific colours trigger neurological responses in the brain that causes a release of hormones by a gland called the Hypothalamus. This improves our mood and also increases our attention span, which aids in our commitment and endurance in exercise!
It’s that time of the year again when we all try and get back in shape. We usually find it hard enough to get on the treadmill at 7am, let alone look presentable while doing it. However, updating our workout wardrobe from drab to fab may just give us the motivation we need. Some of the fittest celebs around know it’s all about looking and feeling great at the gym.
