18 times Jennifer Lopez owned her body on the red carpet

If you didn’t know, it’s style icon Jennifer Lopez ‘s 49 birthday. Which has us asking one question: how? This weekend the performer posted an ab-focused selfie showing how the mum of two still holds it down; regularly going to gym and eating healthy meals , Lopez works really hard for her body . Basically a super human, J.Lo doesn’t drink coffee or alcohol and has never smoked . Listing drinking water, a full night’s sleep and daily high intensity workouts as the foundations of her enviable body, the performer’s dedication to fitness and health gives her a rite of passage to wear what she wants, when she wants. Forever a body icon, the New Yorker has always rocked the barely-there look. Some may even say J.Lo created the trend in her infamous green, Versace dress from the Grammy Awards in 2000. A plunging, belly-button exposing neckline, the silk chiffon dress was one of the first of its kind on the red carpet, making the now-49-year-old a trendsetter. Dare we say she looked just as good in 2000 as she does today, eighteen years later? Admittedly the performer has tried various looks over the years, but one thing is certain – we bet she has her birthday suit ready and there’s still a bit of ‘Jenny from the block’ in there.   Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for non-stop inspiration delivered fresh to your feed, every day. What Jennifer Lopez, Reese Witherspoon, and Nicole Kidman Looked Like at the 2007 Oscars Is Shocking

Oh, where does the time go? The 2007 Oscars took place on February 25, and the night’s big winners were Forest Whitaker for Last King of Scotland, Helen Mirren for The Queen, and Jennifer Hudson in her breakthrough role in Dreamgirls. As for red-carpet winners: We loved As for red-carpet winners: We loved Emily Blunt‘s strapless Calvin Calvin number (who walked the red carpet to support The Devil Wears Prada) and Meryl Streep‘s relaxed yet ladylike Prada frock. Red carpet rewind: What everyone wore to the Oscars in 1997

This year, the likes of Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling, Jennifer Hudson, Brie Larson, Casey Affleck and Amy Adams are expected to attend the Oscars, but rewind two decades and it was a whole different collection of stars who made sure they didn’t miss Hollywood’s most prestigious awards ceremony. Back in 1997, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman were still a couple and made their way down the red carpet looking very dapper indeed (Nicole wore a yellow satin dress adorned with a floral pattern on the bodice). Goldie Hawn looked as on point as ever in a glittering gown, while her partner Kurt Russell kept his cool in sunnies. Susan Sarandon also wore sunglasses and attended the do with her then-husband Tim Robbins.

In fact, it’s all anyone could talk about on Twitter.  But Winona’s not the only star that still looks exactly the same over a decade later. There Was Some Seriously Good Style At This Star-Studded Fashion Awards

It’s a truth universally acknowledged that when you’re at a fashion show, you need to dress up. And, boy, did Hollywood’s finest take that to heart when selecting their looks for Daily Front Row’s Fashion LA Awards last night.  Gigi Hadid showed off her enviable bod in what can only be described as a leotard with some sheer fabric on top, Jennifer Lopez chanelled businesswoman chic in a form-fitting midi dress, Kate Hudson flaunted her taut tum in a show-stopping crop top and flared trousers combo and Lady Gaga made a statement by wearing the only outfit that wasn’t monochrome. Naturally.

Kylie Jenner Kicked Off NYFW in a Naked Jumpsuit

Naked is the new orange, black, pink, blue, white—you get the point. It’s in! It could be said that Kim Kardashian paved the way for figure-hugging, next-to-nothing apparel (especially on the red carpet), but the truth is that Jennifer Lopez and her glorious curves set fashion down this path many moons ago. At the 2000 Grammy Awards, to be exact. Lopez outdid even her own love of the naked dress, via a handful of her ten outfit changes  at the American Music Awards , many of which were made of some variation of totally see-through material. Her parade comes at the end of the year in which the naked dress reached fever pitch—from Beyonce and Kim Kardashian at the Met Gala to Gwen Stefani onstage to barely there looks on Taraji P. Henson and one of this year’s biggest comebacks, Jada Pinkett Smith. It might have been the year in which  Carolina Herrera said, “In life, there should be a little mystery,” after the string of  near-naked ladies on the 2015 Met Gala red carpet, but it was also the year in which no one listened. Here’s whose bodies dresses turned heads in 2015.   Follow us on Facebook , Instagram , and Pinterest for nonstop inspiration delivered fresh to your feed, every day.

J.Lo Brings the Bling to Vegas

Jenny just found herself on a new block! On Wednesday, J.Lo kicked off her Las Vegas residency for Jennifer Lopez: All I Have , making her mark on the storied strip just like fellow songstresses Cher, Mariah, and Céline.  And it wouldn’t be a Lopez production without costumes that are bright, tight, and sparkly . Before slipping into a form-fitting Gabriela Cadena white dress to celebrate her opening night, the 46-year-old (what!?) took to the stage in seven next-to-naked (plus or minus some pelage and plumage) ensembles created by some of her favorite designers. Zuhair Murad was the force behind three looks. Another three, designed by Donatella Versace with the help of costume designers Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, were emblazoned with 260,000 Swarovski crystals in a wide range of colors to make crystal-mesh panels and 100 feet of jeweled chains. As if those numbers don’t subdue the surprise factor, Vogue reports that the three outfits took more than 1,400 hours and over two months to create.  Just because she sang “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” doesn’t mean the same holds true for the bedazzling costumes!
