It’s the most prolific event on the fashion calendar. So, it stands to reason that celebrities would go all-out for their annual Met Gala looks. And when we say all-out, we mean all-out. Remember when Will Smith’s son Jaden rocked up with his cut-off dreadlocks as his date ? How about Beyonce’s latex Givenchy gown? Anne Hathaway’s ‘Star Wars’ inspired hooded dress? Madonna, Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner had us all talking for days after taking to the red carpet in a series of bottom-baring ensembles and we’ll be hard pressed to ever forget Rihanna’s Guo Pei ‘omelette dress’. ‘American Horror Story’ star Sarah Paulson hit headlines when she stopped to held untangle Madonna’s camouflage netting in 2017 and Solange Knowles took the fashion world by storm when she wore a puffa jacket, complete with puffy train, to the star-studded do the same year. The runway at the Anna Sui Fall 2018 show at NYFW was filled with a variety of bold colors, mixed textures, and the designer’s unmistakable flair.
“I think it’s very important to show all the boys and girls out there that size doesn’t matter and that you’re perfect the way you are.”
It may not be the first time the supermodel sisters have graced Vogue's covers, but it might be the first where they've faced such a variety of reactions.
Emily Ratajkowski defended her sexy Love Magazine Advent video, saying any judgment over it is a case of "classic sexism." Meanwhile, Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima says she'll no longer pose nearly nude for "an empty cause." Whose case for feminist empowerment is more on target?

We love it when celebrities go makeup-free . It’s a #filterfree look into today’s unrealistic beauty standards and gives us a much-needed reminder that no one is perfect. And if you’ve ever wanted to see what your favourite celebs look like underneath all that makeup , well, there’s an app for that. A hair trend that once sat atop the heads of Rachel Green, Cher Horowtiz and even Hillary Clinton, the scrunchie represented everything that we loved (or loathed) about nineties fashion. And now, the marmite of the industry has cemented its status in the style stakes thanks to the Insta-pack. Yes, the likes of Bella Hadid , Hailey Baldwin and Selena Gomez have reimagined the scrunchie this season. Only recently, one half of the Hadid sisters was photographed leaving an airport decked in a nineties-inspired tracksuit, multiple layers of gold jewellery and half-moon sunnies. And with a penchant for all things nineties, it’s the accessory the super’s athletic wardrobe was crying out for. Close friend Hailey Baldwin demonstrated how to pay tribute to the must-have on the red carpet. Dressed in a double-breasted blazer dress that wouldn’t look out of place on a polaroid, there was only one way the model could finish the look. With a co-ordinating scrunchie, of course. But it was only a matter of time until the street style set would get on board, as the accessory took centre stage on the SS18 runway. And by no means is this a ‘Clueless’ tribute, as the likes of Mansur Gavriel adopted a rather elegant approach to the scrunchie. And in celebration of the cult item’s comeback, take a look at the celebrities sporting the look and how you can adopt the trend this season.
