Zoe Ball says she’s a “proud ma” while watching son perform at Glastonbury
Reflecting on her weekend at Glastonbury, radio and television presenter Zoe Ball shared a series of fun snaps of herself, her family and friends, and her BBC Radio 2 team on Instagram.
One of the photos also shows her son, and Celebrity Gogglebox star Woody Cook performing a DJ set on day one of the five-day festival, following his father’s musical footsteps.
Calling the event the “greatest festival in the world”, the 51-year-old thanked organiser Emily Eavis and her team for their hard work.
Emily also took to Instagram on Monday to share a collection of images showing some of the acts that took the stage, including Kendrick Lamar, Diana Ross, the Pet Shop Boys, and Lorde, alongside a short statement that read: “Sunday rounding off an incredible weekend…
“Thank you to everyone who came here and made it so special. It surely was the best one yet! A remarkable feat by all artists and crew, thank you to everybody who played a part and everyone who came and created such an amazing atmosphere of joy and love.”
She signed off the tribute with a sweet note, saying: “Safe travels home. See you next year!”
The post comes after she talked about her feelings of relief and delight last Wednesday on the BBC Radio 6 Music Breakfast Show as Glastonbury had just opened their gates, according to NME.
Referring to the cancelled festival the last two years due to coronavirus, Emily said: “We’ve never had a build-up as long as this, obviously. We’ve never all collectively been through such an extreme time together.”
She went on to say that seeing people rushing into the fields is “just an amazing feeling.”
