Zendaya Shares a Behind-the-Scenes Glimpse at Her Gorgeous Dolce & Gabbana Shoot

When she’s not recording music, filming movies like Spider-Man: Homecoming, or dancing up a storm, 20-year-old stunner Zendaya is modeling. And her latest campaign is for none other than Dolce & Gabbana. The Spring 2017 collection campaign was shot by Franco Pagetti in Capri back in October, according to Fashionista.

Aside from her talent and spunk, being relatable is part of the performer’s undeniable charm. True to form, she shared candid, behind-scenes photos from her D&B shoot on both Instagram and her personal app recently. In one of the photos posted to her 37.2 million followers, the biracial beauty is hanging out on a seaside dock, wearing a “bootleg” D&G shirt, a fitted below-the-knee skirt, and cool white kicks. She captioned the photo “A campaign” — but the tee kind of gave it away!

A second closeup shot is eerily reminiscent of Mexican painter Frida Kahlo; Zendaya is seen in a bright, oversized flower crown along with an off-the-shoulder corset top revealing black bra straps. She cheekily wrote, “I’m very comfortable in a tiara.” The posts garnered more than 2 million likes combined.

But it’s her app where she really gave a candid look at all that went down at the shoot. There, we see photos of the vivacious brunette kicking up her stiletto heels while wrapping some very enticing pasta around her fork. We see her joking with a crew member in wicker chairs at what appears to be an outdoor restaurant, munching on a snack while clad in some seriously studded-and-chained slacks, and tending to a group of eager children while wearing a matador-inspired jacket and a whimsical polka-dot scarf around her head.

Other shots show her joined by similarly dressed models — a roster of famous millennial faces including Luka Sabbat, Presley Gerber, Cameron Dallas, Gabriel-Kane Day-Lewis, Rafferty Law and Thylane Blondeau — descending a staircase while a crowd looks on. In one particularly charming shot, Zendaya, in dangling earrings and clutching a chic black purse, is sharing a laugh with an elderly Italian woman.

Zendaya wrote on her site, “This shoot in Capri, Italy for the new Dolce & Gabbana SS17 Women’s campaign was a dream!!! I looooooove the way everything turned out. Wanted to share my personal behind-the-scenes shots with y’all! Shout out to amazing photographer Franco Pagetti and my muse, my stylist Law Roach!!! #DGCAPRI.” She had an amazing time, and it shows!

In one of her most recent posts, the precocious performer shared a video of her trip to Washington, D.C., in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. In a voice-over, she shares what she’s learned and the ways in which she’s inspired by the late legend. Next to a still shot, she wrote simply, “Thank you Dr. King.”

We can’t wait for the Dolce & Gabbana campaign to launch so that we can see all the breathtaking Italian landscapes and of course the chic new collection — but in the meantime, Zendaya’s app and Instagram provide such candid updates on her life, we’re eager to see what debuts there too.
