How to Find Out About Zara's Summer Sale First

·4-min read

Zara is known for having two major sales—summer and Boxing Day. The latter is always pretty clear when it starts but the former, well, that can be a little trickier. However, our fashion spidey senses are tingling, what with plenty of other sales starting, so we thought you might want to brush up on when the sale starts and prep yourself for pieces that you want to get your hands on. We always advise caution when it comes to shopping during this time of year, so you'll find a few tips and tricks for shopping the Zara sale below.

Firstly, have a look through your wardrobe and have a think about what you need and what works with your current pieces. Then, when browsing on the site, add pieces you love, by all means, but before you check out, it's worth thinking about how much wear you'll get out of them. A good rule is to know if you'll wear it 30 times or more, which is a great way to ensure you're shopping as mindfully and sustainably as you can.

And if you want more pointers, we have an insider who gave us some valuable tips on how to shop the Zara sale in the UK so expertly that you'll be guaranteed to get there first (and find the pieces you've been eyeing up all season).

Our intel is that you should go for the things that'll be the most popular first. So opt for the higher-priced goods that will sell out quickly (e.g., cashmere, handbags, shoes and coats). "Other pieces like shirts are likely to still be around for the second markdown," recommends our insider. Also remember to research trends before buying for the upcoming season so you can see what will last.

"Customers will always ask, 'Will you be getting more stuff like this?' Honestly, the staff will have no idea what the rest of the season will look like," our Zara source tells us. "Yes, there are key trends, but since Zara designs, creates and produces items and has them distributed within just a few weeks, there is no way you can predict what’s coming in. Managers will only know what’s coming in when they do the order for next week's stock." The message here? Don't rely on something going into the sale.

Right, got all that? Keep going to see the pieces we hope are going to be in this year's Zara summer sale...
